About The Port

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, trading as Port Metro Vancouver, is responsible for the stewardship of federal port lands in and around Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a safe, year-round, all-weather port. Port Metro Vancouver is the third largest port in North America in terms of total tonnage moved in and out of the port. The port comprises 27 major marine cargo terminals, including deep-sea terminals providing Super post-Panamax capacity and extensive on-dock rail facilities with virtually no draft restrictions, three Class 1 railroads, and a full range of facilities and services to the international shipping community.
