About The Port

A continuously developing port focussed on containerised cargo handling and passenger ferries. With an extensive warehouse and distribution area, it also handles, tankers, cruise, Ro-Ro and bulk vessels. Several liner companies use this port. It is the leading intermodal port in Finland. European route E18 connects Turku to Helsinki. Icebreakers maintain winter traffic.

On the SW coast of Finland, at the south end of the Gulf of Bothnia. It is considered to be part of the Nordic Triangle linking the major cities of Scandinavia, Russia and central Europe.
