Port of Surabaya It is located in Jawa Timur (East Java) province, in Indonesia. Tanjung Perak is the name of the port. There are some terminals at the port such as: Jamrud: general cargo and passengers Mirah: general cargo inter island Berlian: dry bulk, liquid bulk and domestic containers Nilam: general cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk inter island Kalimas: mooring of traditional and motor sailing ships TPS: container. For seafarer who wants to go out of the port needs to know the name of the terminal where the ship is berthing in order to be easier to come back to the ship. A Sailors' Society Port Chaplain, works in this port doing ship visiting to meet seafarers every working day, please note there is still no Seafarers' Centre in Surabaya. The distance of the port to the city centre is about 10 kilometers and it is too far to walk. Shuttle bus inside the terminal up to the gate is available in some terminals. Local people usually come on board offering taxi service and some other services. Tunjungan Plaza is a big shopping mall for one stop shopping which can be reach by taxi in about 30 minutes from the port.

Tanjung Perak is the port of Surabaya, handling general cargo, bulk carriers, gas carriers, tankers, container vessels, Ro-Ro and passenger vessels.

On the north shore of eastern Java Province, at the mouth of the Mas River in the Strait of Madura, 50 n.m. SE of Tuban Marine Terminal and 60 n.m. south of Camar Marine Terminal.
