About The Port

A multipurpose port open throughout the year. Montreal primarily handles containers but also dry and liquid bulk, passengers, Ro-Ro, breakbulk and general cargo. Many berths have rail access via an intra-port system with connections possible to the Canadian and United States national networks.

At the confluence of the Ottawa and St. Lawrence Rivers in SW Quebec Province, 130 n.m. SW of Quebec City and 150 n.m. NE of Lake Ontario.
