About The Port

Leith is the largest enclosed deep-water port in Scotland, consisting of a non-tidal enclosed dock system, and has the capability to handle handymax ships up to 50,000 d.w.t. Cargoes regularly handled include forest products, steel, fresh produce, offshore support and heavy-lifts. Passenger vessels also handled. The port offers a full stevedoring and cargo handling service. It is well served by road and rail links and central Edinburgh is easily accessible.
