Your original passport is required since no other document can provide information on your legal status in Ukraine. If you are detained because you have been unable to present your passport, you should ask for an official report. Don’t take photographs in the vicinity of government or military establishments.

About The Port

The Sukhoi Liman is divided into three parts called Basin No. 1, Basin No. 2 and Basin No. 3. Navigation in the port is year round. Ice usually begins to form in the second half of December and finally disappears in February. Ice-breaker assistance may be required in severe winters for about a 30 day period. All piers have railway access, some with up to 10 separate lines.

On the NW coast of the Black Sea, on the right bank of the Sukhoi Liman, approx. 25 km. SW of Odessa City. The berths on the eastern side of Basin No. 1 are used by trawlers. The berths for large sea-going vessels are along the western side of the southern Sand Headland, thence along southern and SW sides of Basin No. 1.
