If you’re asked to show your passport and you don’t have it with you, the police may escort you to wherever your passport is being kept so that you can show it to them.

About The Port

Emden is a major exporter of motor vehicles and has good rail and road links to hinterland for all kinds of cargoes. Other cargoes handled include cellulose, building materials, wind turbines, fertiliser, grain and liquid goods.

On the right bank of the Ems river, approx. 38 n.m. upriver from the Westerems Pilot Station close to the German-Dutch border.
