The Port of Durban is not only the biggest and busiest in South Africa and the continent of Africa, but it is the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere including Australia and New Zealand!
A natural harbour it has some 50 berths receiving Container, Cargo, Coal, Fuel, RoRo's, Fruit & Veg ships and Luxury Liners. The Port also has a dry dock and small naval base. At times up to 300 ships enter and leave Port a week. There are plans to build a new passenger terminal to accommodate the passengers of the luxury liners that pass through our Port. Our Port has a Seafarer's Mission.
